Ovoid, the well-patinated surface worked with an ishime-ji (stone) texture and inlaid in gold, shakudō, and silver with leaves of aoi (mallow) and flowing water; with a Hozon Tōsōgu (Sword Fitting Worthy of Preservation) certificate # 452142 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kyōkai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword) dated April 19, 2007, and with a wood storage box (2)
