A Monograph of the Trogonidae or Trogons. London: Published by the author, 1858.
Volume 1 (of 4) only. Folio (573 x 385 mm). 13 hand-colored lithographic plates; additional plate (Nectarina Gouldiae) laid down to thin board inserted at back. Publisher's quarter cloth and printed boards. Spine cloth perished, contents somewhat loose, staining and soiling to boards, light foxing.

The first volume of the second edition of Gould's Trogonidae, which was first published in 1836. The second edition was revised and expanded, with additional plates. Nissen IVB 372; Fine Bird Books, p 101; Wood, p 365; Zimmer, p 261.
