A GROUP OF MEDALS PRESENTED TO COLONEL JOHN H. SOPER.

1. Gold Royal Order of Kalakaua Knights Grand Cross Sash Badge, Maltese cross in gold with Prussian blue and white enamel, surmounted by a Hawaiian Crown, the face reading "Kalakaua / February 12th 1874," the reverse reading "Keola / 1874,"95 x 52 mm. Some loss to enamel.
2. Royal Order of Kalakaua Companion Cross, Maltese cross in silver with Prussian blue and white enamel, reading "Kalakaua / February 12th 1874" to face and "Keola / 1874" to reverse, 40 x 35 mm. Lacking Hawaiian crown and ribbon.
3. Octagonal metal badge stamped "Captain / Citizens Guard," with pin soldered to verso, 43 x 43 mm.
4. Brass belt buckle with Kalakaua monogram surmounted by Hawaiian crown, 50 x 60 mm.
5. Metal helmet plate with large "K" and "UA MAU KA EA O KA AINA I KA PONO" surrounding against a field to swords, cannons and cannonballs, some loss to foliate leaves on left side, 80 x 115 mm.
6. Sterling silver and enamel pendant featuring Royal Seal of Hawaii, crossed bars and royal crown, inscribed on verso of pendant "MOANA / Anno 22' / 1904," 105 x 25 mm.
7. Kalakaua dime, quarter and half dollar coins, all dated 1883, mounted together on pendant with chains, 117 x 27 mm.
8. A group of 3 Hawaiian National Guard medals: metal "Rifleman / National Guard of Hawaii" badge; "National Guard Hawaii / Department of Foreign Affairs / No. 1" metal cross with ribbon; "Ten Years Service" badge with "No. 1" on verso, largest 72 x 38 mm. With officer's ribbon, 10 x 60 mm.
9. Gold pendant featuring protractor, T-square and sun, engraved on the verso, "Presented to / P.M. John J. Soper / By the members of Hawaiian Lodge No. 21. F & A. M. Dec 17, 1895," 90 x 65 mm. With gold "Hawaiian 21" Freemason lodge badge, 50 x 23 mm.
