ROCKEFELLER, JOHN DAVID. 1839-1937. Document Signed ("John D. Rockefeller") as President, being a Standard Oil Company stock certificate issuing 84 shares to William Rockefeller, partially printed and accomplished in manuscript, 1 p, oblong folio (160 x 265 mm), Cleveland, OH, January 28, 1871, also signed by HENRY FLAGLER as Secretary, with engraved borders and vignette, framed to 425 x 690 mm overall.

William Avery Rockefeller, Jr. (1841-1922) was the younger brother of John D. Rockefeller, and a partner in the Standard Oil Company, having been invited in 1867 to take over the company's export business.
