HUGHES, SARAH TILGHMAN. 1896-1985. Postal Cover Signed ("Sarah T. Hughes"), memorializing the deaths of John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy, with cancellation dated November 22, 1968. 95 x 165 mm, featuring a photograph of the Kennedy brothers walking together, bordered in black, with a Franklin Roosevelt 6 cent stamp at upper right. Light soiling and handling marks. Matted, enclosed inside mat boards, with explanatory brass plaque lettered in black, framed and glazed.

This postal cover commemorating the tragic loss of John and Robert Kennedy, is signed by Sarah T. Hughes, the Federal Judge who swore in Lyndon B. Johnson as President of the United States aboard Air Force One after the assassination of President Kennedy. The cover is postmarked on the 5th anniversary of the assassination.
