The Nike Black History Month collection debuted in 2013 with Player Exclusives created for the Kobe 8, LeBron X and KD V. Nike has confirmed that only 23 pairs of this particular shoe were made to commemorate Black History Month in 2014, only two of which were made in size 15.5 for LeBron James. The other pair were worn by LeBron James during a game for Miami Heat against the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena, Atlanta, Georgia on January 20, 2014.
