Keeping dry in her golden chair underneath the pavilion's awning, a lady polishes off a bottle of wine while enjoying the watching the late-summer monsoon's drama. Rain streaks down the drenched palace wall, watering the blossoms flourishing below. Pairs of peacocks, herons, and yellow ducks hunker down for the storm, while one egret braves the lightning sky: no doubt a stand in for the lover our heroine contentedly awaits.
