Set with a synthetic ruby crystal, within a textured and polished abstract frame, accented by brilliant-cut diamonds, signed Stittgen, length 4.5cm

Born in Ludwigshafen, Germany in 1930, Karl Stittgen moved to Vancouver, Canada in 1952, where he became part of the growing, dynamic artistic scene. As well as continuing to design his own pieces, which focus on intricately textured gold, accented by gemstones and diamonds, Stittgen also trained several Master Goldsmiths. In 2009, he was awarded the Creative Achievement Award of Distinction in British Colombia for his 'profound and lasting impact on applied art and design'.
