A pair of gilt-metal-mounted Meissen vases, late 19th century

Of reverse baluster form with gilt-edged scroll handles with female heads, painted on each side with a hunting scene after Ridinger on a gilt scrollwork and trellis bracket, the rims with gilt trellis and scrollwork borders, mounted on gilt-metal foliate scrollwork bases and with pierced and flared rims to the necks, 34.5cm high, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, one with incised model number E.163, impressed numerals (both drilled through the base, one with narrow chip to rim and chip to tip of one handle, minor rubbing to handles) (2)
