A Sèvres Persian-style plate from a service for Louis-Philippe at the Château de Bizy, dated 1844

The turquoise-ground rim reserved with lobed lambrequin shapes decorated with gilt arabesques and foliate scrollwork, the well decorated with a turquoise-ground star motif surrounded by a dense gilt scrolling border, 24.3cm diam., crowned LP monogram and SEVRES 1844 within a circle stencilled in blue, Chateau de Bizy mark in iron-red, incised mark b. 38-11(?), D in turquoise and W in gilding
