A Saint-Cloud silver-gilt mounted snuff box in the shape of a dog, circa 1740

Decorated in polychrome colours and heightened in gilding with chinoiserie figures, insects and foliage, the mount with a Paris discharge mark for 1738-44, 7cm long, 5cm high (fine haircrack to the back edge)
