A large Sèvres blue-ground milk jug (pot à lait 'à trois pieds'), circa 1775

Of the first size, reserved with a lobed gilt-edged panel against the dark blue ground painted with a wreath of roses hanging from a floral wreath of cornflowers heightened in gilding, surrounded by formal gilt bands, gilt dentil border to the rim, 12.2cm high, marked on the blue ground with interlaced LL monogram, gilder's mark B for Jean-Pierre Boulanger and painter's mark for J.-F.-L. de Laroche
