A Sèvres bleu-céleste-ground cup and saucer (gobelet 'litron' et soucoupe), circa 1780

Of the third size, reserved with gilt-edged bands enclosing flower wreaths and trailing flowers painted by Jean-Baptiste Tandart, the blue ground further embellished with gilt foliate scrollwork, the saucer: 12.4cm diam.; the cup: 6.2cm high, interlaced LL monograms enclosing date letters CC, and painter's mark of three dots in blue, gilder's mark for Michel-Barnabé Chauvaux, incised marks (2)
