A Sèvres ecuelle, cover and stand (écuelle 'ronde tournée' et plateau 'ovale'), dated 1771

Of the fourth size, each painted by Jean-Charles Sioux (l'ainé) in blue with floral bands and feathered and diaper borders and gilt foliate bands, gilt-edged rims, the entwined handles on the side and the branch handle on the cover embellished in gilding, the stand: 18.3cm diam.; height of ecuelle: 10.3cm, interlaced LL monogram between date letter S and painter's mark of a crown in blue (3)
