A silver-gilt mounted and shagreen scent bottle case

Of rectangular box form, the casket featuring well mounted edges and intricate pierced decoration of naturalistic silver-gilt flower heads, stems and scrolling leaves, to the top a vacant irregular cartouche, all offset against a green shagreen background, a cast floral button to the front depressed to open the cover, revealing a pair of cut-glass perfume bottles, both etched to the shoulders, with hinged silver gilt tops and glass stoppers beneath, a gilt interior surround and leather-lined cover, height 8.5cm, length 4.5cm, diameter 8cm.
