'R. Winder' in the casting, after Rudolf Winder (Austrian, 1842-1900)
Realistically cast bird with feather effect, tail outspread and neck outstretched with head squawking, the hinged back lifting to reveal a double inkwell, the hinged head raising to reveal a brush for cleaning a pen nib, a branch base beneath, height 25cm, length 30cm.
