A Japanese export early 18th century lacquer and copper mounted cabinet on a Ceylonese (or Coromandel Coast) carved ebony stand

The cabinet decorated with mountainous landscapes, pagodas, trees, birds, flowers and foliage, the pair of doors each with a vase of assorted flowers to the reverse, enclosing ten drawers of various proportions, on six baluster knop supports, the stand with a gadrooned edge above shallow-relief floral and foliate carved frieze, blocks and pierced scrolled spandrels, on four spiral twist-turned legs with conforming stretchers, terminating in large bun feet, 95cm wide x 54cm deep x 151cm high, (37in wide x 21in deep x 59in high)

Important Notice - the lacquer cabinet dates to the early 19th century and not as described in the E-catalogue. The solid ebony stand apparently dates to the first half of the 19th century.
