A Chinese Cloisonne enamel mounted Zitan and Huanghuali 'ruyi' sceptre

the sceptre finely carved with a curved shaft leading to a ruyi head, decorated in relief with wutong and pine trees, the head inset with a brightly-enamelled circular cloisonné enamel panel containing peaches, bat, double coins and a wan symbol, the lower panel containing further peaches, the central rectangular section set with a pair of upright plantain leaves, 41cm long

Ruyi sceptres of zitan and huanghuali wood inlaid with panels of cloisonné enamel are rare. See, however, a zitan ruyi sceptre inlaid with jade, illustrated in the Pictures of Ancient Playthings (Guwan tu), scroll 6, dated to 1728, in the British Museum and illustrated by J.Rawson and E.Rawski, China: The Three Emperors, London, 2006, pp.252-253, no.168.
