Footnotes
This series is very similar to Pablo Picasso's iconic progressive edition made on one lithographic stone entitled, Le Taureau, 1946. Murray uses the same printmaking process by building a looping abstract image on one lithographic stone, ending with her 4th and 5th states in color. Another set of these prints was exhibited in, "Elizabeth Murray: Focus", The Museum of Modern Art, New York, October 19, 2005 - January 9, 2006, and is in the museum's permanent print collection.
