Footnotes

Provenance
The Lord Swansea, Bonhams sale, 2 December 2009, lot 250
Twinight Collection

The style of decoration and striking colour palette on this lot is most unusual and is presumably the work of one of the London workshops. The exceptional level of detail in the painting includes delicate veining on the many individual leaves within the composition.
