A Derby dessert plate, circa 1790

Painted in puce monochrome probably by Zachariah Boreman with a rural landscape, the bright yellow ground with radiating oeil de perdrix picked out in blue, red and gold, the salmon pink and Smith's blue border gilded with paterae, stars and dots, 23.3cm diam, crown, crossed batons, D mark, pattern 112 and painter's number 1 for Thomas Soare in puce
