Provenance
Bonhams Wales and West sale, 12 July 2008, lot 126
Twinight Collection

The gilded border around the cavetto is the same as that on the Swansea plate from the Biddulph Service, lot 48 in this sale. suggesting that this plate was also decorated at the Bradley workshop. The painting style is closely related and Philip Ballard is likely to be the artist responsible. Landscape decoration on Nantgarw porcelain is only rarely found.
