JAMES, FRANK. Autograph Letter Signed ("Frank James"), to Ted Blackmore regarding a potential appearance, 1 p, 4to, Kearney, Mo, March 6, 1914, age creased and toned, with original autograph transmittal envelope.
Provenance: Purchased from Walter R. Benjamin Autographs, Inc., September 10, 1991 (receipt made out to Theresa Earle and canceled check).

In part: "Can see nothing in your proposition that would justify me in going out with you. Therefore, its best not discuss this matter venture further. Am good for not less than $750.00 right here at home, not one dollar of expences...." Frank James died a few months after this letter was written.
