An ivory cane handle and game counter
Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century
The cane handle in the form of the head of the God of Longevity Fukurokuju, his mouth open to cry out, a small beetle crawling on the top of his head, signed Kogyoku, with a plexiglass stand, 10.6cm (4 3/16in) high; the game counter of rectangular form, decorated with Japanese macaques playing with insects, unsigned, 9.2cm (3 5/8in) long. (3).
