An ivory okimono of a toad and frog on a skull
Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century
Comprising a large warty toad perched atop the skull and peering down the front, a second contrasting smooth-skinned frog stepping onto a lotus bud at the back grasping the toad's hindlegs, the eyes of both inlaid; unsigned. 5.4cm (2 1/8in) high.
