An ivory netsuke of a tiger

Edo period (1615-1868), early/mid 19th century
The tiger seated, turning to the right to look behind, its legs drawn in for compactness, its long tail passing forward, snaking over its back, the eyes inlaid; unsigned. 3.6cm (1 3/8in) long.
