Six various netsuke
Edo period (1615-1868) to Meiji era (1868-1912), 19th century
The first ivory of the Chinese official and calligrapher So Toba (Chinese: Su Dongpo) on his rearing mule, unsigned, 4.8cm (1 7/8in) long; the second ivory of Hotei and two Chinese boys, signed Masamitsu, 3.8cm (1½in) long; the third ivory of manju form with a dragon amidst clouds, unsigned, 4.4cm (1¾in) high; the fourth ivory of okimono style with the Seven Gods of Good Fortune, signed Ryukosai, 4.4cm (1¾in) long; the fifth lacquered wood of a dancing man holding a fan, unsigned, 5cm (2in) high; the sixth stag-antler of Daikoku the God of Wealth, unsigned, 5.5cm (2 3/16in) high. (6).
