Four ivory figure netsuke
Edo period (1615-1868) to Meiji era (1868-1912), 19th century
The first the hero Momotaro beating a demon on the ground, signed Munekazu, 3.5cm (1 3/8in) long; the second a Nio guardian pressing down on a rice cake, signed Gyokkosai, 3.8cm (1½in) high; the third Hanasaka Jijii standing with his dog by his side, signed Shounsai, 4.1cm (1 5/8in) high; the fourth the Immortal Bukan seated with a tiger, signed Tomochika, 3.4cm (1 3/8in) high. (4).
