Two ivory figure netsuke
Edo period (1615-1868) to Meiji era (1868-1912), 19th century
The first two of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune, Hotei resting his hammer on Ebisu's shoulder, Ebisu grasping the head of a red seabream, unsigned, 4.5cm (1¾in) long; the second the long-legged Ashinaga supporting his friend Tenaga on his back, pulling up his catch of two fish with his long arms, signed Masayuki, 6cm (2 3/8in) high. (2).
