An ivory netsuke of a hungry ghost and demon

Edo period (1615-1868), 18th century
The hungry ghost and demon kneeling on a folded lotus leaf, facing away from one another while each grasping a block between them in a fierce tug-of-war; unsigned. 5cm (2in) long.
