A South Staffordshire enamel patch box, late 18th century

Of oval form, the hinged lid printed and painted with a portrait of a lady with long flowing hair, in praying attitude with her gaze lifted, possibly Lady Jane Grey, the panel edged with raised gilt scrollwork and foliate sprigs on a pink ground, the base with embossed flowers picked out in bright colours on a pink ground, 5.2cm wide
