Né en 1971, à Bagdad, en Irak, Delair Shaker obtient un diplôme de céramique en 1990 à l'Institut des Beaux-Arts de Bagdad. Fils de l'éminent céramiste irakien Saad Shaker, Delair Shaker a été initié aux arts dès son plus jeune âge. Il quitte Bagdad dans les années 1990 pour vivre à Amman, où il enseigne l'art, avant de devenir directeur du département artistique de l'école Ahliyyah pour filles. En 2005, il déménage à Phoenix, en Arizona.

Born 1971, Baghdad, Iraq , Delair Shaker studied ceramics at the Institute of Fine Arts, Baghdad, receiving his diploma in 1990. The son of prominent Iraqi ceramicist Saad Shaker, Delair Shaker was exposed to the arts from a young age. He left Baghdad during the 1990s to live in Amman, where he taught art and later became head of the art department at the Ahliyyah School for Girls. In 2005, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona.
