Manuella Guiragossian attended the California Institute of the Arts, graduating in 2002 with a BFA in Fine Arts, Film and Video with a specialization in Character Animation. She was based in Los Angeles until 2002 and then moved to Dubai for work in 2003 before returning to Beirut in 2010 to establish the Paul Guiragossian Foundation.

Manuella grew up during the Lebanese civil war and spent most of her time with her celebrated father, Paul Guiragossian, at his studio, where she received her original training. To shield her from the atrocities of the ongoing war, her father surrounded her with art. She is currently based in Beirut and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and art fairs in addition to solo shows worldwide.

The cherry blossom symbolizes springtime when nature regenerates with new life and flowers bloom. It represents new beginnings and hope of recovering and starting over after harsh times in addition to being a metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life, something Manuella Guiragossian is very conscious of, given the fact that she was raised during the Lebanese civil war and understands to fragility of life all too well.

"Life in Cherry Blossom" was painted in 2014 as a pair with another painting of the same size titled "Carry the World" created especially to be part of Manuella's solo representation at the Singapore Art Fair by the Emmagoss art gallery that same year. The painting depicts birds and different animals surrounding and above a cherry blossom tree, interacting and coexisting as a symbol of tolerance and hope.
