BRAZILIAN FIRE OPAL ESSENCE BOTTLE BY LAWRENCE STOLLER--"CHARIOT OF FIRE"
By Lapidary Artist and Sculptor, Lawrence Stoller
The name "opal" derives from an old Indian word upala meaning "precious stone". No description could be more apt for this very precious scent bottle. Carved from a single rough of deep orange Brazilian fire opal, the body of this bottle is flawless and transparent; the flame-form carved stopper, which is of slightly lighter orange color, is equally so. Accented with 18K yellow gold fittings to the mouth of the scent bottle and base of the stopper, and resting upon a gold-plated bronze base, this essence bottle, which is seemingly animated in its fluidity of design, is suitably named. Height 7 ½ inches.
