Boulder Opal "Split"

A small specimen of ironstone which has been split by the miner to open, revealing a thick seam of opal to the center. The layer of opal is substantial and is characterized by blue and green iridescent stripes. An interesting cabinet piece or one which could be mounted as "his" and "hers" pendants. Weighing approximately 78.69 and 77.29 carats and measuring 42.31 x 29.15 x 11.63mm and 38.84 x 26.83 x 11.74mm (2)
