A SMALL BILLBOARD POSTER OF IN THE LAND OF THE HEAD HUNTERS.

World Film Corporation, 1914. 8 sheet lithographic poster, 108 x 82 inches, printed by the H.C. Miner Litho Co., NY, lacking lower left panel, some loss to upper left corner.
Provenance: Purchased by Dr. Billy Utley from Manford "Mag" Magnuson.

A stunning poster illustrating the "Fire Dance" sequence, this one reading "Edward S. Curtis' Real Indian Drama Enacted by Natives 'Neath the Totem Poles of the North Pacific Shores. / With Native Music Symphonized."
The 8-sheet is an incredibly rare poster format, supplanted by the 6 sheet billboard. This example shares artwork with the smaller window card in lot 144.
