A PLACARD FOR A VANISHING RACE SHOW.
New York Hippodrome / Sunday Evening, Nov. 26th / Mr. Edward S. Curtis / Story of / "A Vanishing Race" / Pictorial—Musical / His Own Orchestra / of Twenty-two Symphony Soloists. New York: [1911]. Lithographic broadside, 125 x 383 mm. Some toning to sheet, small spot to left margin.
Provenance: Purchased by Dr. Billy Utley from Manford "Mag" Magnuson.
A rare bit of ephemera from a November 26, 1911 performance of Curtis's extravaganza featuring magic lantern slides, film, music and narration. The Hippodrome appearance followed a smash engagement at Carnegie Hall the previous week.
Provenance: Purchased by Dr. Billy Utley from Manford "Mag" Magnuson.
