As part of its Fall/Winter 2015 collection,, Louis Vuitton celebrated the spirit of London with a men's collection paying tribute to the late British designer Christopher Nemeth. The United Kingdom went through a recession period in the 1980s, Nemeth's designs started having a strong impact on the London scene in times like this. He hand-sewed his designs from discarded materials, and was particularly known to use rope and charity shop clothing to assemble his works. As seen on the present lot, Louis Vuitton incorporated Nemeth's signature rope printed design on its iconic Damier Graphite. Not only is this backpack perfect for everyday wear, but also represents a great spirit of a changing era.
