Footnotes

勞力士,「Day-Date」18238型號,罕有黃金自動上弦日期星期顯示鏈帶腕錶,配尖晶石面盤,年份約1985。

Debuted in 1956, the Day-Date model has been one of the brand's top sellers ever since, and is considered by connoisseurs as the most universally recognized watch in the world. In 1988, Rolex introduced a new movement for the Day-Date model- Cal. 3155. It is the first Rolex movement to have a double quickset function, and with its introduction, a new batch of Day-Date President watches with the reference number 18238 joined the Rolex catalogue. Moreover, a more exclusive amount of hard stone dials were produced to fit the watches. The present watch is adorned with a very unusual ferrite dial. Unlike meteorite, the ferrite is a ceramic material made by mixing and firing large proportions of iron as well as additional metallic elements. The dial thus displays a distinctive texture and reflection. Preserved in very well overall condition, such timepiece is highly collectible in today's market.
