A Soshu tanto with fine mounts
Muromachi period (1333-1573), dated 1505
Hirazukuri, mitsumune forged in tight ko-itame hada with a suguha tempered edge, the machi-okuri tang with kiri fie marks, one hole, signed Soshu no ju Kunitsugu tsukuru and dated Eisho ninen hachigatsu no hi (A day in the eighth month of 1505), with a two-piece gold habaki, 7 1/2in (19cm) long, in a wood shirasaya storage scabbard
The 19th-century aikuchi goshira-e comprising a nashiji lacquer saya and tsuka decorated with Tachibana crests in gold lacquer and mounted with matching silver fittings formed as chrysanthemums with gold highlights

With Tokubetsu Hozon Token (Sword Especially Worthy of Preservation) certificate no. 1005804 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword), dated July 21, 2016
