Momoyama (1573-1615) or Edo (1615-1868) period, late 16th/17th century
Circular, the iron of good color, applied with a later shakudo rim and copper semegane, the pierced decoration representing two stylized pine needles
With a wood storage box and a Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu (Sword Fitting Especially Worthy of Preservation) certificate no. 200383 dated April 25 1988, issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword)
