Kitae (forging pattern): ko-itame hada
Hamon (tempering pattern): suguha
Boshi (tip): ko-maru
Nakago (tang): ubu with two holes, kesho file marks, signed [][] Kuwana no ju Sanpin Hiromichi kore o tsuku, dated Ka'ei ninen tori sangatsu (Third month of 1854), and inscribed Kazuno ryodan nyoi Kuwahara Gen'nosuke []hara Takayuki (Cut through two deer horns, executed by Kuwahara Gen'nosuke and []hara Takayuki)
Habaki (collar): one-piece, copper
Nagasa (length from tip to beginning of tang): 27 1/2in (69.8cm)
Motohaba (width at start of tempered edge): 1 1/4in (3.1cm)
Sakihaba (width before tip): 3/4in (1.9cm)

The tachi goshira-e mounted with copper migaki-ji fittings comprising an ishime-ji saya, the area around the hangers wrapped in tooled, gilded leather, the kojiri, semegane, koiguchi, and fuchi-gashira all decorated with scrolling vines and cherry blossoms, the iron mokko gata tachi tsuba carved with hollyhock designs, the tsuka wrapped in black silk over gilt-same and fitted with shakudo menuki formed as blossoms
