Footnotes

宋加洛縣 泰國 約十五世紀 青釉碗

This celadon stoneware bowl has a band of four large lotus blossoms encircling a floral medallion and moat in the well. Black spots within the blue-green glaze are characteristic of Sawankhalok wares due to a high iron content in the clay. Similar examples are published in Brown, The Ceramics of South-East Asia, 2000, pl.39. Also compare the underglaze lotus design shared by a Sawankhalok kendi published in Rooney, Sukhothai, Bangkok, 2008, p.60.
