Finely painted scenes of Lavanyavati preparing for her marriage ceremony appear on both sides of this folio, divided by architectural elements. Named after its heroine, the Lavanyavati is a poem composed in the 18th century by Upendra Bhanja, one of Oriya literature's greatest authors.
For another folio from the same dispersed set, see Goswamy & Smith, Domains of Wonder: Selected Masterworks of Indian Painting, 2005, pp.44-5, no.9. Also compare another closely related example at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (1974.220).
