Footnotes

The Sat Sai composed by the poet Bihari Lal in the late 17th century is in the tradition of religious texts exploring the romance of Radha and Krishna, containing couplets on love, devotion and morality. Bihari Lal was initially at the court of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and later moved to the court of Raja Jai Singh of Amber.
