Landing her final note, a singer holding a tambura salutes the embracing protagonists as they migrate to the nearby bed to consummate their evening's romance. The bed is prepared under a straw thatched awning in case the billowing clouds in the night sky let loose. The fine floral detail around its golden skirt, and the deep blue and orange gold brocaded cushions on top, match the pavilion's decorated walls and curtains. Other paintings from the same Ragamala set are listed in Maggs Bros. Ltd., "Bulletin No.8", February 1965, nos.11, 24, 26 & 34.
