DIRIGIBLES: POSTAL COVERS & EPHEMERA

INCLUDING MANY FLOWN PIECES Group of 22 items, 1899-1936 including flown postcards, signed photographs, and picture postcards. Highlights include:
1. Flown cover, postmarked July 29, 1930, Earl's Court S.W.S. and August 1, 1930, Montreal, Canada, having been flown on the British dirigible R-100.
2. Another flown cover from a later R-100 flight.
3. Flown cover, multiple postmarks, from round trip Chicago World Exhibition Flight 1933.
4. Silver gelatin print photograph of Alberto Santos-Dumont's No.6 airship, 3 x 3 1/4 inches, with a clipped signature.
5. Original 1906 cover depicting dirigible flying to Shriner's Convention in Los Angeles, one of the first to advertise air flight.
