APOLLO 8 EARTHRISE

SIGNED WITH CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM FRANK BORMAN.
Large format color photograph, 23 1/2 x 31 1/2 inches, fine.

SIGNED & INSCRIBED with a Christmas message: "View of Earth, Christmas Eve, 1968 / God Bless all of you ... all of you on the good Earth. / Frank Borman / Apollo 8 CDR" Fantastic quote from Borman's close of the famous Christmas Eve broadcast from the Moon fittingly applied to William Anders' perspective-broadening photograph.
Borman was quoted during the Apollo 8's 40th Anniversary celebration in 2008: "We were told that on Christmas Eve we would have the largest audience that had ever listened to a human voice and the only instructions that we got from NASA was to do something appropriate."
