Skylab 3, sometimes mistakenly referred to as Skylab 2, was the second crewed mission to the American space station Skylab. The three crew members, Commander Alan Bean, Science Pilot Owen Garriott and Pilot Jack Lousma, spent over 58 days docked at Skylab performing numerous experiments including medical activities, solar observations, Earth resources, etc. The mission emblem, labeled Skylab 2 due to a NASA management error, featured Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man to represent the emphasis on medical experiments.
The above jacket is similar to the final flown design with the elastic waistband, utility pockets, collar and zippered front, although the vertical white stripes make this arguably more fashionable.
