A gogotte is a millions-of-years old naturally shaped mineral rarity consisting of tiny quartz fragments held together by calcium carbonate. A mineralogical work of art, each gogotte has a unique and otherworldly shape, which opens the imagination to infinite interpretations. Fontainebleau's sand is famous for its flawlessness and delicacy since the 17th century, and gives the gogotte its porcelain appearance. Gogotte concretions can be found in Natural History museums around the world. The present specimen of classic form with a large, bulbous termination. Measuring 11 1/2 X 8 1/2 X 5 in (Measuring 29 x 21 x 12 cm)
